It’s been about three weeks since my last regular vlog. In this one I talk about: trying to film two beer reviews in a row of expired beer and how much I hate that; the Capital Region Craft Brewers Festival; my new editing software; possible new guest reviewers; a possible trip to NYC; and some other stuff but I forget what I said. Entry from: Sydney, Australia Entry Title: “The Bridge of Death” Entry: “Before We set off on this journey, I must have stumbled across an interesting website that offered people the marvellous chance to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stupidly I told Helen. “Ooh, thats cool, I’d really love to do that!” Was her reply. For those of you dont know, I have a slight fear of heights. In this case, a definition of heights would be dodging steel girders, traversing 42m high catwalks on wooden boards, climbing everlasting ladders from the under belly of the metallic beast; and climb to the summit of said bridge, hundreds of metres above the city and pose for a feckin’ photo! Then do it all in reverse as we head back down. I had many a battle with myself and my thoughts about whether i could do it. Fear is a complex emotion. In the end, about a month ago, whilst still in Malaysia, i booked two tickets to climb the bridge. I couldnt back out now, it would be a shocking waste of 60 quid! Well, It was a close call. Only helen will know how close I came to bailing out. I was ready to waste that 60 pounds. I never slept the night before, I finally got to sleep at 6am only to get up at 8am. On the way to the HQ, I said to helen that I couldnt do it. She told me to at least go in and try the simulator and …
